The most effective suppositories with heparin for hemorrhoids: composition, 6 medicinal properties, instructions for use and prices

Heparin suppositories from hemorrhoids are an anticoagulant and are widely used in the treatment of this disease. The action of anticoagulants is aimed at inhibiting the activity of blood coagulability, which prevents the formation of blood clots.

It is because of this effect that heparin suppositories from hemorrhoids are not recommended for use when the disease is in an acute stage and is accompanied by bleeding. If the disease is not started and is not complicated by bleeding, then these candles:

  • Stabilize blood circulation in the vessels
  • Relieve swelling and reduce pain
  • They will remove the inflammatory process,
  • Help damaged tissues recover quickly.

Heparin is obtained from the internal organs of cattle (liver, lungs, intestinal mucosa). The release form of the drug can be different, it can be candles, for the treatment of internal manifestations of hemorrhoids or ointments for the treatment of external manifestations of the disease.
Since heparin is a natural substance, preparations based on it, practically have no contraindications. You can not use heparin suppositories from hemorrhoids only to people who have individual intolerance.

Different suppositories for hemorrhoids with heparin are produced, names:

  • Hepatrombin G. Today, two types of this drug are presented in pharmacies - Hepatrombin and Hepotrombin G. Heparin: description of the substance and mechanism of action

Heparin, by its nature, is a glycosaminoglycan, which is obtained from the liver and lung tissue. This substance is characterized by powerful blood-thinning and antithrombotic effects, due to which it is ranked as a group of direct anticoagulants.

The blood-thinning and antithrombotic action of heparin is due to the fact that it comes into contact with the plasma cofactor - antithrombin III. As a result of such a connection, the inhibition of the activity of blood coagulation factors such as plasmin, thrombin and kallikrein is inhibited, which in turn prevents platelets from sticking together and blood clots form.

It is also known that heparin has an anti-inflammatory effect, since it slows down the migration of neutrophils into the focus of inflammation, and also inhibits lysosome and myeloperoxidase enzymes.

In addition to the described, heparin, thinning the blood, improves microcirculation and tissue nutrition, which contributes to the faster healing of wounds, in the case of cracks, ulcers and erosion.

Thus, heparin suppositories will help to fulfill several important medical tasks for hemorrhoids, namely:

  • reduce the severity of the inflammatory process in the anus,
  • relieve swelling and reduce the size of hemorrhoids,
  • dissolve blood clots inside the hemorrhoid cones,
  • relieve soreness and burning in the anus,
  • prevent the development of thrombosed hemorrhoids,
  • to accelerate tissue repair.

Features of the drug

Heparin is an effective anticoagulant. It improves blood flow, strengthens the walls of blood vessels, dilutes blood, preventing the formation of blood clots.

Heparin suppositories are ideal for treating the early stages of internal and combined hemorrhoids. After administration, the fatty base melts under the influence of body temperature.

Active substances are released and immediately absorbed into the tissues and mucous membranes, falling into the branched capillary system.

Painkillers, decongestants and wound healing components act directly on the affected areas, and sodium heparin enters the veins and immediately begins to act.

Small commissures resolve, blood liquefies, platelet count normalizes.

The drugs are easily absorbed by the body, they are non-toxic, do not accumulate in the tissues, liver, stomach or kidneys.

Suppository components are completely eliminated from the body after 10-12 hours.

Hemorrhoid disease what is it

Hemorrhoids is a disease caused by a violation of the blood flow in the veins of the rectal intestine, as a result of which stagnation in the hemorrhoidal nodes occurs. They, being filled with blood, swell and increase in volume. As a result of the stretching of the venous wall, the activation of pain receptors occurs, which causes severe and burning pain. Blood stasis leads to inflammation in the hemorrhoids.

In the international classification, it is customary to subdivide hemorrhoids into external and internal:

With incorrect and untimely treatment, acute hemorrhoids turn into a chronic form. The risk of developing complications in the form of thrombosis is also high. Therefore, it is necessary at the first signs of hemorrhoids to contact a proctologist.

In order to understand the entire pathogenesis of the disease, provocative factors should be considered. Violation of blood flow and the formation of stagnation in the veins occurs due to increased abdominal pressure. Abdominal pressure can increase only under the influence of adverse factors.

The list of provoking factors:

Pregnancy and hemorrhoids

  • An improperly prepared diet, a small amount of fiber in it, a large amount of fast food,
  • A sedentary lifestyle, often in a sitting position,
  • Pregnancy and childbirth
  • Permanent bowel problems in the form of constipation and diarrhea,
  • Physical labor associated with weight lifting.

Having excluded all these provocative components of life, you can bypass this ailment. But if there are symptoms of hemorrhoids, it must be correctly and quickly treated. Heparin suppositories not only affect the cause of the disease, but also show a powerful preventive effect against thrombosis.

What does the market offer?

Today on sale you can find several options.

Among the most popular suppositories for hemorrhoids with heparin:

The composition depends on the brand of the drug. All anticoagulants include heparin. It reduces the density of platelets, reducing blood coagulation and preventing the formation of internal adhesions.

Hepatrombin G It has a complex effect, it includes prednisone, which relieves pain attacks and reduces swelling, as well as lauromacragol, which reduces hemorrhoids.

Suppositories Nigepan include anesthetic benzocaine, which relieves pain attacks. Relief occurs after a single injection, suppositories are prescribed for exacerbations of chronic hemorrhoids, the presence of anal fissures, internal edema, prone to inflammation.

Hepazolone - a drug that combines heparin, prednisone and lidocaine. Prednisolone is responsible for the removal of edema, the elimination of local inflammation, the strengthening and regeneration of tissues. Lidocaine soothes pain, relieves a feeling of heaviness, itching and burning.

The drug is potent and is used only as directed by a doctor. It is especially effective for combined hemorrhoids, combining internal and external nodes, prone to inflammation and damage.

Heparin candles description

The substance heparin was removed from the liver of cows and pigs. It belongs to the group of direct anticoagulants, that is, it blocks the process of blood coagulation and prevents blood clots from forming. It also has an anti-inflammatory effect. Suppositories with heparin have a local effect on hemorrhoids, preventing the appearance of blood clots. Heparin also stabilizes the rheological properties of blood, improving blood flow. As a result of such exposure, stagnation occurs, hemorrhoidal nodes decrease to their usual sizes. Thanks to the anti-inflammatory effect, heparin relieves pain and swelling.

About pathology

Moderate formation of hemorrhoidal nodes can be noted in many people, however, with the increasing influence of negative factors, they can become very inflamed, bleed, lead to the development of anemia and require urgent surgical care. In the early stages, this pathology lends itself well to therapy with conservative methods, mainly medication, in which heparin suppositories are used.

The causes of hemorrhoids are difficult to determine. Most often, it occurs under the influence of several factors:

  • with prolonged constipation,
  • during childbirth,
  • when lifting weights,
  • passive lifestyle,
  • abuse of spicy food, alcohol,
  • sports activities,
  • hypothermia.

In what cases is the use of hemorrhoids suppositories with heparin indicated?

The feasibility of using heparin

One of the negative complications of hemorrhoids is the formation of blood clots in the hemorrhoids. Such a pathological process is often observed in patients in the later stages of the development of the disease. In this case, the use of certain combined medications is necessary for treatment, which not only provide anti-inflammatory and analgesic effects, but also dissolve blood clots formed in the anorectal zone.

Such medicines include those that contain in their composition the anticoagulant of direct exposure, heparin, which is widely used in medical practice for the treatment and prevention of various thromboembolic pathologies. Among the local medications, heparin suppositories are most effective. They stop the process of thrombus formation and have a resolving effect on the formed blood clots, which contributes to a significant relief of the further course of the disease.

The drug is one of the most affordable effective for external hemorrhoids, as well as its internal and combined forms.

The main components:

Active substance effect

HeparinKnown in clinical practice, an anticoagulant (a substance that prevents blood coagulation).
Benzyl nicotinateVasodilating effect, improves heparin absorption.
BenzocaineKnown analgesic, has a powerful analgesic effect.

Heparin ointment from hemorrhoids acts gently, has a local analgesic, anti-inflammatory and vasodilator effect.

Prevents platelet adhesion, inhibits the formation of fibrin in the blood (the protein from which blood clots form), which inhibits the proliferation of connective tissue cells.

Pharmacological action of heparin suppositories

Heparin is a natural direct anticoagulant, one of the main elements of the anticoagulant property of human blood. It is present in almost all organs, but more so in the lungs, liver, and heart. The mechanism of action of heparin is associated with its effect on blood coagulation processes. It inactivates thrombin circulating in the blood, which is the main enzyme that contributes to its coagulation. This causes inhibition of the conversion of fibrinogen to fibrin, the filaments of which underlie the thrombus. Heparin reduces the ability of platelets to adhere to each other, and also increases the fibrinolytic functionality of the blood by reducing the concentration of antiplasmin.

Nigepan

Nigepan is another antihemorrhoid drug that contains heparin. The drug also contains an anesthetic - anestezin.

Nigepan suppositories have analgesic, anti-inflammatory, antithrombotic and healing effects, which makes the drug indispensable for thrombosed hemorrhoids of external and rectal localizations.

The drug is prescribed rectally, one suppository in the morning and evening for one to two weeks.

Candlestick treatment Nigepan is well tolerated, only in rare cases have patients reported adverse reactions to the drug in the form of itching, swelling, redness in the anus, urticaria and dermatitis.

If the skin has extensive lesions, it is recommended to cure them using external means and only then use anticoagulation suppositories.

With local irritations, cool baths help well. with herbal decoctions or lotions with chamomile infusion.

Venotonics that strengthen the walls of blood vessels will be a good addition. From this group, ointments, creams, tablets are suitable. The course is prescribed by the doctor depending on the patient's condition.

The treatment course must be accompanied by a sparing low-calorie diet with a lot of fiber. It will eliminate the danger of constipation, fragile vessels will not strain, inhibiting the growth of hemorrhoids. Read about nutrition shown in hemorrhoids in our article.

Which drug is better to choose

Based on heparin, a large number of suppositories for hemorrhoids have been developed. Some of them contain one main component, others are multicomponent. By their effect, they are divided into painkillers, anti-inflammatory, antithrombotic and complex. Complex preparations are most effective.

The pharmacological effect of heparin in hemorrhoids

Heparin refers to anticoagulants - substances that prevent blood coagulation.

The drug was first isolated from liver cells at the beginning of the 20th century, hence the origin of the name.

The substance easily penetrates the body through the skin, providing a therapeutic effect:

  • at the initial stage, itching and burning in the anus, swelling,
  • anesthetic, which is part of the candles, relieves pain, reduces discomfort,
  • blood thinning action minimizes the possibility of blood clots, improves blood flow, which leads to resorption of hemorrhoids, serves as a prevention of the formation of new cones.

Attention! Heparin for pharmacological purposes is synthesized from the internal organs of cattle (liver, lungs, intestinal mucosa). Natural origin provides low toxicity of anticoagulant.

Varieties of candles: names and prices of the most popular drugs

Pharmaceutical companies produce several types of suppositories for hemorrhoids, the therapeutic effect of which uses the properties of sodium heparin.

Auxiliary components may differ in different drugs, but the method of use and side effects are the same.

The following heparin suppository names are listed in ascending order of average retail price.

The list includes only a few items from the rectal remedies for hemorrhoids presented in pharmacies.

According to patients' reviews of various types of suppositories with heparin, reduction of unpleasant and painful sensations occurs on the third day of using the product.

Swelling, burning and itching are noticeably reduced, further use contributes to the disappearance of hemorrhoids, serves as a prevention for the emergence of new ones.

The low cost and relatively small list of contraindications makes heparin suppositories a medication available to most people in need of treatment.

Contraindications and side effects

Contraindications for the use of suppositories with heparin include individual intolerance to the components.

Part of heparin can cause allergic reactions in patients especially sensitive to the substance, up to skin itching and urticaria.

Attention! A competent approach to the treatment of hemorrhoids and timely consultation with a specialist will help to avoid complications, reduce the risk of possible negative effects on the fetus.

The use of heparin drugs with bleeding hemorrhoids is unsafe. Reducing thrombosis, suppositories act on the coagulation system, which can lead to internal and external bleeding, the appearance of bruises.

People with low blood coagulation should use drugs containing heparin to treat hemorrhoids at any stage of the development of the disease.

Can they be used during pregnancy?

The non-toxicity of heparin suppositories, the absence of hormonal components makes the drug safe for use during pregnancy.

Women in position should a doctor consult a doctor, monitoring the course of pregnancy, together with him to establish the need for the use of suppositories with heparin, based on analyzes to minimize the risk of adverse reactions of the body.

Despite the high effectiveness of suppositories with heparin in the treatment of hemorrhoidal nodes, the use of a medication alone is not enough.

It is important to combine a range of health measures: balance the diet for the proper functioning of the gastrointestinal tract, lead an active lifestyle, using moderate physical activity according to age and health group, abandon bad habits that contribute to the onset of the disease.

Treatment of hemorrhoids and its complications with candles with Heparin

Domestic proctologists in the treatment of hemorrhoids complicated by thrombosis of hemorrhoids, more often use Nigepan for hemorrhoids, Hepazolone and Hepatrombin G - rectal suppositories, which include Heparin. These drugs belong to combination drugs, because they also consist of other components that enhance the effect of Heparin and eliminate the symptoms of hemorrhoids.

Suppositories with heparin for hemorrhoids: treatment features and properties of heparin suppositories

Heparin is an acidic sulfur-containing glycosaminoglycan that acts as an anticoagulant. This substance is produced by human liver cells, and prevents the active coagulation of blood and platelet adhesion. On a factory scale, the liver, lungs and mucous membrane of the intestines of cattle are used for the production of heparin.

Due to the effect on antithrombin, heparin inactivates coagulation factors, prevents the formation of blood clots and blood clots. Heparin is effective in the treatment of deep vein thrombosis, thromboembolic diseases, myocardial infarction, hemorrhoids. First of all, the substance serves as an effective prophylactic drug that prevents blood clots from blocking blood vessels.

The healing properties of heparin

Modern clinical medicine cannot exist without heparin-based drugs. This is due to the powerful and lasting effect that the substance has on the human body as a whole:

  • inhibits blood clotting, preventing blood clots,
  • activates the fibrinolytic properties of blood, helping to dissolve blood clots,
  • improves cardiac blood flow,
  • promotes vasodilation and activates blood supply to organs and tissues,
  • contributes to the accelerated elimination of edema and inflammatory processes,
  • possesses lipotropic and antisclerotic action, normalizing fat metabolism and accelerating the removal of cholesterol from the bloodstream,
  • It has an anti-allergic effect, acting as an analogue of hormonal substances - corticosteroids.

The effect of heparin has not yet been fully studied - scientists still continue to identify the beneficial properties of the substance, adding to the list of its therapeutic effects.

The substance is available in the form of sodium salt in vials and ampoules for intravenous and subcutaneous administration. On sale you can find therapeutic ointments and gels based on heparin for local external use. The scope of the drug is wide - with its help they get rid of bruises and bruises, treat coagulopathy, and are used for blood transfusion and hemodialysis.

Gepazalon

Hepazalon suppositories are used for the treatment of external and internal hemorrhoids. With the internal localization of inflamed veins, the suppository is completely introduced into the rectal canal. If there are pronounced external nodes, the candle is partially administered, holding for several minutes with your fingers until the suppository is completely dissolved.

The drug is effective exclusively in the dissolution zone, so it is so important to take care of the local effects of the suppository. If there is a danger of leakage of the drug, use a cotton-gauze lining or a clean cloth.

  • heparin - has an antithrombotic effect, interferes with the adhesion of platelets, promotes resorption of hemorrhoids, relieves swelling, accelerates the healing of cracks,
  • lidocaine hydrochloride - has an analgesic effect, quickly eliminates pain and discomfort, helps relieve bowel movements,
  • prednisone - strengthens the vascular walls, eliminates burning and itching in the anus, increases resistance to harmful microorganisms and prevents them from entering the bloodstream.

With regular use already on the fourth day, signs of exacerbation of hemorrhoids are significantly reduced. For a significant therapeutic effect, the use of heparin suppositories for hemorrhoids Hepazalon is indicated for 10-14 days.

The drug is used twice a day, with a mild course of the disease, you can put a candle only at night.

The use of suppositories is prohibited in the presence of viral, fungal or infectious lesions of the anus.

Nigepan is a triple-action suppository that helps fight hemorrhoids in the very early stages. The drug is especially effective for hemorrhoidal prolapse, it is used for persistent constipation and difficult bowel movements. With the help of candles, you can quickly get rid of unpleasant pain, itching and burning.

The composition, in addition to the main active substance - heparin, includes the following components:

  • benzocaine - a local anesthetic, blocks nerve endings, reducing their sensitivity, eliminates the pain of hemorrhoids and the affected mucous membrane of the rectum,
  • Vitepsol and purified monoglycerides - a fatty base that promotes the rapid dissolution of the suppository and the absorption of active substances, facilitates the introduction of suppositories into the lumen of the anus and the process of bowel movement.

Nigepan is prescribed for pain and blood after a bowel movement, with difficult bowel movements and severe signs of hemorrhoids. The duration of treatment with the drug is 10-15 days, the optimal frequency is twice a day, morning and evening.

Contraindications to the use of heparin

Suppositories with heparin have a local effect, and substances are absorbed into the blood in small quantities. But contraindications to their use exist:

  • hemorrhagic strokes,
  • bleeding disorders
  • threat of intracranial hemorrhage,
  • aortic aneurysm,
  • arterial hypertension,
  • severe liver damage
  • erosion and ulcers of the gastrointestinal tract,
  • after surgery on the liver and bile ducts, after operations on the brain, eyeball and prostate gland,
  • during menstruation.

Since the substance reduces blood coagulation, it is prescribed with caution in the presence of bleeding of various etiologies.

Features of the use of heparin in pregnancy

Heparin does not adversely affect the formation of the fetus, therefore, preparations based on it can be used during the period of gestation. But with extreme caution, heparin suppositories are prescribed in the last trimester of pregnancy.

The hemorrhaging effect of the substance is capable of provoking spontaneous abortion and severe uterine bleeding in the labor and early postpartum periods.

Suppositories for hemorrhoids with heparin - VospalenieKishechnika

Heparin for hemorrhoids

The unique effect of heparin is due to the fact that it blocks the formation of blood clots, contributing to the resorption of clots during blood stasis, reducing edema and signs of inflammation. Based on this substance, ointments for the treatment of external hemorrhoids and rectal suppositories are produced, which are mainly prescribed for the acute course of the disease and internal hemorrhoids.

Pharmacological properties

Heparin belongs to the group of direct-acting anticoagulants that slow down the formation of fibrin - an insoluble protein produced by the liver and which is a component of a blood clot during blood coagulation. The anticoagulant effect occurs immediately after application: pain is reduced, inflammation of the external nodes is reduced, the risk of thrombosis.

Suppositories with heparin for hemorrhoids

The following are popular suppositories:

  1. Candles Nigepan. Rectal suppositories, which have anti-inflammatory, antithrombotic and analgesic effects. They quickly relieve inflammation, pain, a feeling of anal itching. Tissue regeneration occurs, the growth of existing blood clots stops, while new ones do not form. A negative point is the possible allergic reaction.
  2. Hepazolone suppositories. The advantage of this drug is that heparin from hemorrhoids works flawlessly: relieves pain, relieves inflammation of hemorrhoids. Hepazolone suppositories have a beneficial effect in the treatment of anal fissures. The introduction of suppositories into the anus with external hemorrhoids is carried out in half, and not completely. The duration of treatment lasts a week. There are contraindications.
  3. Suppositories Hepatrombin G. They include lauromacrogol and prednisone, which increase the therapeutic effect. Hemorrhoidal nodes under the influence of components decrease in size, edema, itching subsides. Hepatrombin G suppositories are used even for complicated forms of hemorrhoids. Minus - a number of side effects and contraindications. It is necessary to carefully study the instructions and follow the instructions of the doctor.

How to use rectal suppositories

Before using heparin suppositories, hemorrhoids require consultation with a specialist. Therapy should be prescribed, taking into account the individual characteristics of the person. It is not recommended for use in hemorrhoidal bleeding. To achieve the effective effects of drugs, the following conditions must be met:

  • Empty the intestines, then take a shower.
  • Enter the suppository into the anus, lying on its side, or in a standing position.
  • It should be used at night, because after administration you need to lie at least an hour so that the medicine can be absorbed.

Heparin suppositories during pregnancy

It is not recommended to practice heparin suppositories during pregnancy if they include painkillers or antibiotics, whose actions have negative consequences for the fetus. It is worth considering individual intolerance.

In this case, the doctor can pick up analogues with a different composition that can cure hemorrhoids. For example, Relief candles, consisting of phenylephrine hydrochloride and shark liver oil.

A good prevention of the disease is a healthy lifestyle and proper nutrition.

What is the advantage of suppositories from hemorrhoids?

According to clinical studies, because of its physicochemical properties, heparin ointment cannot penetrate the skin and, therefore, does not have a therapeutic effect. Heparin suppositories (suppositories) have high bioavailability, therefore, are effective in the treatment of proctologic diseases.

Unlike oral dosage forms of heparin, suppositories can also be used for dysphagia or disorders of the gastrointestinal tract. In addition, rectal administration partially circumvents the first-pass effect.

Indications for appointment

Indications for the use of anticoagulant suppositories:

  • Prevention of peri- and postoperative thrombosis,
  • Therapy of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism,
  • Arterial embolism therapy,
  • Anticoagulant in extracorporeal circulation (e.g. dialysis),
  • Auxiliary therapy for disseminated intravascular coagulation,
  • Concomitant therapy of thrombolysis,
  • Treatment of acute myocardial infarction,
  • Perioperative and postoperative prophylaxis of venous thrombosis
  • Therapy is not massive (normotensive) pulmonary embolism,
  • Prevention of thrombosis in unstable angina and sometimes in acute coronary syndrome,

In most cases, heparin suppositories are used to treat hemorrhoidal diseases. They have thrombolytic, anti-atherosclerotic, membrane-stabilizing and chondroprotective effects.

Important! Candles improve blood circulation in small capillaries and help dissolve blood clots.

Indications for use

It is used for inflammatory processes that occur in hemorrhoids and thrombophlebitis.

Due to the use of heparin ointment for hemorrhoids:

Blood clots resolve.

  • No new nodes are formed.
  • Inflammatory processes stop.
  • Pain disappears.
  • The disease flows into remission.
  • The feeling of heaviness disappears.
  • Swelling and a feeling of fullness in the perianal region are removed.

According to the instructions, heparin ointment is indicated for:

  • Thrombophlebitis of superficial veins.
  • Thrombosis.
  • Postpartum inflammation of the hemorrhoid cones.
  • External hemorrhoids.
  • Injuries, bruises, bruises.

How to apply?

With external hemorrhoids, heparin ointment is used as a compress. It must be applied to gauze or tissue and applied to the affected area. The compress is fixed with a band-aid, put at bedtime for the whole night.

With internal hemorrhoids (hemorrhoidal cones are located inside the rectum) it is used in the form of tampons: a gauze swab is made, an ointment is applied to it and introduced into the anus.

The procedure is recommended to be done before bedtime.. A compress is left overnight, it is removed in the morning, the affected area is washed with cool water.

Tampons with heparin ointment have the same effect as candles. The duration of the course of treatment depends on the form and degree of the disease, as well as on the individual indicators of the patient.

According to the instructions for use for hemorrhoids the course of treatment with heparin ointment is at least 3 days and can last up to 2 weeks. The duration of therapy is prescribed by the attending physician.

Smear heparin ointment should only be on clean skin. In the treatment of hemorrhoids after defecation, cool baths are used, after which the areas are oiled. On the affected area, it should be used no more than 3 times a day.

With bleeding hemorrhoids, blood is released during or after bowel movements. The cause is damage to the cones or a crack in the anus.

The use of this tool in such cases is not recommendedbecause it has a blood thinning effect.

After surgery, heparin ointment is most often recommended to patients as a regenerating drug that promotes rapid healing, relieving swelling and inflammation.

Pregnancy and lactation

Due to the growing load, the veins on the legs suffer, which is fraught with varicose expansion and the formation of blood clots.

Pregnant women can use heparin ointment only as directed by a proctologist. In the absence of obvious allergic reactions, it is prescribed in the treatment of hemorrhoids of various forms of manifestation.

Categorically, you can not use heparin ointment against hemorrhoids, if there is the slightest reaction to its components.

To avoid allergic reactions, it should be tested on a small area of the skin.. A little ointment is applied to the wrist or inner surface of the forearm, left for 20-30 minutes. In the absence of a reaction in the form of redness, rash, itching, it can be used.

Pregnant women can also use this tool to prevent stretch marks, which appear during pregnancy, later decrease, but do not disappear. Ointment makes them less noticeable.

After childbirth, heparin ointment helps hemorrhoids to patients without special contraindications and in the absence of an allergic reaction to the components of the ointment.

When breastfeeding are used natural products onlybecause penetrating into breast milk, they can affect the health of the baby. Since heparin ointment has a local effect, it does not penetrate into breast milk and has a minimum of side effects. Therefore, it is sometimes prescribed for cones of hemorrhoids and with GV.

What is the result of the treatment?

When using suppositories for hemorrhoids with heparin, the following is observed:

  • blood thinning and thrombosis,
  • elimination of the inflammatory process and reduction of swelling,
  • acceleration of the processes of restoration and healing of affected tissue,
  • decreased permeability of the vascular walls.

By chemical structure, this substance is a heteropolysaccharide consisting of glucuronic acid and glucosamine residues. Suppositories with heparin for hemorrhoids can be used in the treatment of such a disease at any stage of development. Such medications are especially effective for thrombosis of acute hemorrhoidal nodes.

Suppositories from hemorrhoids with heparin should be used only as directed by a specialist, since they have certain contraindications. They can not be used in case of hemorrhoidal bleeding, violation of blood coagulability and individual intolerance of substances from the composition.

Below are the names of effective suppositories for hemorrhoids with heparin.

Suppositories used in the treatment of hemorrhoids

Modern pharmaceuticals with heparin in the form of suppositories also contain other active ingredients, which enhances the therapeutic effect of these drugs and their effectiveness in various symptoms of hemorrhoids. In the event of thrombosis of hemorrhoids or in order to prevent it, drugs such as Nigepan, Hepatrombin G, Hepazolon are most often prescribed.

Consider some features of the use of suppositories for hemorrhoids with heparin.

The treatment regimen and application guide

Rectal suppositories are injected into the anus immediately after defecation. To improve the lubricity, suppositories can be heated manually or quickly lowered into warm water.

There are different opinions on how to enter the suppository into the anus: sharp or dull side. Medical and veterinary literature recommends its introduction from a dull side. According to scientists, the drug is thus absorbed much better.

A study of adults and children showed that suppositories inserted with a blunt side are less likely to be forced out of the rectum. It is recommended to gently squeeze the buttocks in infants and children to prevent the candle from falling out of the anus.

Suppositories with heparin in the treatment of hemorrhoids

The most effective of the local preparations are suppositories with heparin for hemorrhoids. They stop the processes of thrombus formation and contribute to the resorption of the formed blood clots, which has a positive effect on the further course of the disease.

Heparin candles: composition, principle of action, types

Whatever the stage of hemorrhoids, the attending physician will in any case prescribe the use of a suppository. Due to their composition, wounds and cracks heal, blood clots are prevented, bleeding stops.

The most popular and often prescribed suppositories are heparin suppositories, which are affordable, effective in use, and safe for the body as a whole.

Suppositories for hemorrhoidal thrombosis

Therapeutic tactics are determined by a proctologist based on the severity of the condition. Medication includes the use of venotonics, analgesics, local anticoagulants and anti-inflammatory drugs. Surgery involves the removal of the affected node.

The prognosis of thrombosis of an enlarged hemorrhoidal cone is generally favorable, but only with competent and timely therapy. Read about the symptoms and causes of this unpleasant condition, as well as about the main treatment procedures in our article.

How are hemorrhoids and hemorrhoidal thrombosis related?

  • About what is internal hemorrhoids, what are its main features and stages, can be found in the material of a specialist proctologist.
  • In addition, we recommend that you read the article of our expert, which details the features of the treatment of precipitated hemorrhoidal nodes.
  • We also advise you to pay attention to such a variety of the disease as thrombosed hemorrhoids of external and internal localization.

In the rectal canal and around the anus are the so-called cavernous formations.

In the normal state, such bodies (together with the sphincter) perform an important task - they prevent the unauthorized exit of feces and gases from the anus.

Anal cavities are penetrated by venous vessels, which under the influence of adverse factors lose their optimal tone, as a result of which the blood stagnates, deforming veins. The result is the formation of hemorrhoidal nodes.

In some situations, which are accompanied by a jump in pressure inside the peritoneum (for example, with a sharp increase in weight), an exacerbation of the disease begins. A varicose vascular wall is not able to cope with pressure, it is damaged, so the body starts a kind of protective mechanism.

According to medical statistics, more than a quarter of all patients with confirmed hemorrhoidal disease have acute hemorrhoid thrombosis. In total, such thrombophlebitis is about 60% among all complications.

Varieties and degrees of thrombosis

At the site of the formation of a blood clot, thrombosis of the external hemorrhoidal node is distinguished if external cavernous lesions are damaged, and thrombosis of the internal hemorrhoidal node if platelets accumulate in the veins of the submucosa of the rectum.

The pathological condition develops gradually, this allows us to isolate in its progression three consecutive stages or degrees. For the convenience of graduation, we presented their distinctive features in the form of an informative table.

Initial symptoms of hemorrhoidal thrombosis

This condition is characterized by severe clinical symptoms. In order to seek medical help in time, you need to know the initial signs of thrombosis of hemorrhoids.

The first signs of thrombosis are soreness that occurs suddenly and discomfort in the anus. The nodule begins to increase in size, so a person notes the presence of a foreign body in the rectal canal.

Another symptom is bleeding of varying degrees of intensity. In the initial stages of thrombosis, it can occur due to damage to the rectal or external nodule by solid feces. In this case, a blood clot can exit through the wound, and the patient will feel serious relief.

Bleeding often occurs in the last stage of thrombophlebitis of hemorrhoidal veins. In this case, we can talk about the beginning of the necrotic process, since the surface of the nodules is covered with bleeding ulcers.

With thrombosis of the hemorrhoid, almost immediately and in a short time, edema and an increase in the size of cavernous formations are noted. And if earlier they were not very noticeable, then with the appearance of a blood clot they quickly “swell”.

If these symptoms are detected, you should immediately contact a doctor who will determine the diagnosis and prescribe treatment. Although usually the pain due to a blood clot is so severe that even those people who were previously embarrassed by hemorrhoids or did not attach any importance to it seek medical help.

Causes of the condition

Thrombosis of the hemorrhoid and the causes of its occurrence, as already noted, are closely associated with hemorrhoids. Therefore, the “provocateurs" are the same factors that play a negative role in the development of varicose veins of the anal veins. Let's consider them in more detail.

  • Violation of the diet. The abuse of alcohol, spices, peppers or spicy foods stimulates blood circulation in the peritoneum and increases pressure in the cavernous formations. The result is a blood clot.
  • Problems with bowel movements. Constant constipation, malfunction of the gastrointestinal tract does not most favorably affect blood circulation in the pelvis. When straining, the pressure in the hemorrhoids plexuses again increases.
  • High physical activity. With hemorrhoids, it is not recommended to lift weights, since such physical exertion leads to a sharp jump in pressure in the abdominal cavity.By the way, thrombosis often occurs for this reason during pregnancy.
  • Lack of exercise. It is curious, but the lack of optimal physical activity, prolonged sitting, and low mobility can also lead to thrombosis due to increased congestion in cavernous formations.
  • Hypothermia. As a result of prolonged exposure to low temperatures on varicose veins, damage to their walls occurs. The body "turns on" the protective mechanism, resulting in a blood clot.

Diagnostic measures

Usually, an accurate diagnosis does not take much time due to the pronounced and characteristic clinical picture. The doctor listens to complaints, clarifies the anamnesis (the presence of hemorrhoids, provoking factors) and, of course, examines the anorectal region.

A visual diagnostic method at the initial stage of the pathological process reveals the presence of compacted and enlarged hemorrhoids, moderately painful when touched.

In the subsequent stages, inflammation, redness of the nodes is detected. The third degree of pathology is characterized by the presence of inflammatory infiltrate in the anorectal region. In the most unfavorable cases, partial necrosis of cavernous formations having a bluish or even black tint is not excluded.

External hemorrhoidal thrombosis is localized under the so-called scallop line. In case of thrombosis of the rectal ganglion, there is a groove between the cavernous formation that has come out and the edematous skin of the perianal region.

An instrumental examination (rectoscopy) is prescribed for suspected rectal thrombosis, to differentiate this condition from pathological processes similar in symptoms: a rectal tumor, an impaired polyp, and acute paraproctitis.

Treatment methods

The question of how to treat hemorrhoidal thrombosis is in the competence of a specialist. After clarifying the diagnosis, he selects the optimal therapeutic regimen taking into account the degree and severity of the pathological process.

In general, the treatment of thrombosis is medicamentous and surgical. Moreover, the use of medicines may precede surgery, and the surgical method does not exclude the subsequent use of medicines.

Drug therapy

In the first and second degrees of hemorrhoidal thrombosis, doctors give preference to multicomponent drug therapy, which includes the use of systemic and local drugs. An integrated approach helps to improve microcirculation, resorption of a blood clot and relieve inflammation.

Venotonics are referred to systemic medicines - drugs that increase the tone of blood vessels, which allows to improve the outflow of blood from hemorrhoids and reduce congestion. The drugs of choice include Detralex, Flebodia 600, Aescin, Troxevasin. The issue of their use during pregnancy is decided by the attending doctor.

To dissolve blood clots, anticoagulants containing heparin are prescribed in the form of suppositories and ointments. So, with thrombosis of the external node, heparin ointment, Hepatrombin G, Proctosedil, Heparoid Zentiva are shown. In the case of internal hemorrhoids, suppositories Hepatrombin G and Proctosedil are shown.

With severe pain and inflammation, ointments and suppositories with hormonal and anesthetic components are prescribed. Very popular are medicines such as Ultraproct, Procto-Glivenol, Proctosan and Proctosan Forte, Aurobin.

With a pronounced pain syndrome, alcohol-novocaine blockades are often prescribed according to A.M. Aminev. This procedure is carried out every 3-4 days and is usually combined with the local use of ointment funds Levomekol and Levosin. After the blockade, the pain decreases or disappears completely.

Surgical intervention

Surgical treatment of thrombosis of the external hemorrhoid requires in the case of the most severe, third, degree. In this case, the intervention can be carried out almost immediately, if there is bleeding and infringement of the node, or in a delayed order, if it is necessary to stop the acute inflammatory process.

General description of drugs

Suppositories are used for hemorrhoidal nodes inside the rectum. Currently, when conducting therapeutic measures for the treatment of proctological ailment, candles are often used. The medicine is allowed to be used separately, or as part of complex therapy.

Heparin suppositories are a popular drug for hemorrhoids. Direct-acting anticoagulant is most effective for thrombosis. It has a positive effect on the further course of the pathological process. The main thing is to use the medicine correctly for maximum effect.

Cost

The cost of all of the above medicines for the treatment of hemorrhoids, with a tendency to form blood clots, based on heparin in the form of rectal suppositories, is approximately the same, and ranges from 200 rubles, which does not affect the patients' preference for choosing a drug depending on its price.

Thrombectomy

External hemorrhoids thrombosis, which proceeds without complications, is sometimes treated with thromboectomy. In this case, the surgeon opens the affected cavernous formation, removes a blood clot from it and leaves the wound to heal on its own.

The advantage of thromboectomy is low invasiveness, quick healing and the possibility of carrying out during pregnancy. However, such a method is not always justified, since it is suitable only for external hemorrhoids.

In addition, there is a high risk of repeated thrombosis in the same node due to damage to the venous walls at the time of surgery.

Hemorrhoidectomy

The most common method of surgical treatment of thrombosed anal veins is hemorrhoidectomy - an operation that involves excision and further complete removal of the hemorrhoid.

The classic version of hemorrhoidal resection is the Milligan-Morgan method. The affected cavernous formation is simply cut off from the blood vessels by the leg. Such an intervention can be performed both under general and under epidural anesthesia.

Today there is several modifications of classical hemorrhoidectomy, which differ to a greater extent by the completion of the procedure:

  • open intervention (without stitching the truncated area),
  • closed intervention (deaf suturing of the wound after resection),
  • submucosal surgery.

Hemorrhoidectomy is the most effective treatment for thrombosis of hemorrhoidal nodules. This procedure allows not only to get rid of blood clots, but also to remove the cavernous formation itself, which practically reduces to zero the likelihood of re-development of blood clots.

If thrombosis is accompanied by inflammation of pararectal tissue, additional surgical procedures will be required. For example, the surgeon may prescribe drainage of the perianal region to reduce the amount of inflammatory infiltrate.

How do heparin-based drugs work?

Heparin suppositories have an anticoagulant effect on the circulatory system of the patient. Such drugs are combined, not only prevent the formation of clots, medicines as follows affect hemorrhoids:

  • They stop the inflammatory processes in the field of hemorrhoidal nodes formation,
  • Contribute to the reduction of vascular wall permeability.
  • The blood flow to the rectum will improve.
  • Benzacoin, prednisone acetate and lidocaine hydrochloride reduce pain.

Heparin suppositories also contribute to the acceleration of tissue regeneration. Thanks to this action of the drugs, the hemorrhoidal nodes begin to decrease. Medications prevent relapse.

The active substance - heparin - quickly penetrates the tissues, the treatment process does not last long. The main thing is the schematic use of suppositories.

Folk methods

It is impossible to cure thrombophlebitis of hemorrhoidal veins using alternative treatment methods! Moreover, the use of a variety of non-traditional practices is fraught only with deterioration and serious complications.

Perhaps the proctologist will recommend as an additional treatment sessile baths with medicinal plants, such as chamomile, strawberries, grass, etc. But again, these procedures can only take place in conjunction with the main method of therapy and only after consulting a doctor.

Thrombosis prophylaxis

The main way to prevent thrombosis of hemorrhoids is the treatment of varicose veins of the anal veins and the avoidance of risk factors for the development of a pathological condition, which we described in detail above.

To exclude injury to hemorrhoids and further formation of blood clots, you should monitor the digestive tract, normalize the consistency of the stool, and avoid constipation and diarrhea if possible.

Diet food will help to cope with this, which implies the exclusion of fatty, spicy, salted and spicy foods, alcoholic beverages. You should give preference to products with natural dietary fiber (fruits, vegetables, cereals), which normalizes intestinal motility.

Another important tip is to optimize physical activity, avoiding both physical inactivity and excessive strength exercises. It should be especially noted that thrombosis can develop during pregnancy, when several risk factors are combined at once. Therefore, expectant mothers should especially carefully monitor their health.

Forecast and possible complications

In the absence of adequate treatment and a late call to the doctor, the development of dangerous complications such as necrosis of the hemorrhoid, pus paraproctitis and even sepsis is possible. The latter poses a direct threat to the life of the patient and can lead to death.

With timely request for medical help and adequate therapy, the prognosis for thrombosis of blood vessels of hemorrhoids is generally favorable. Medical or surgical treatment at the present stage allows you to cope with this unpleasant condition.
